The Municipal Social Welfare and Development in partnership with the ASHAS Enterprise and the Local Government of Asingan launched a food cart project for Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries.
Thirteen food carts (gulaman, burger, fries, goto me, and scramblet) were turned over to 26 Pantawid beneficiaries from different barangays in Asingan.
The handling on the food cart at the MSWDO Conference Room was graced with presence of Mayor Heidee Chua and Vice Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr.
Aside from supplying the food carts, the ASHAS Enterprise represented by manager Anicia Desacula gave free training in proper food preparation, personality development, sanitation, and pricing.
The ASHAS Enterprise also provided materials and initial supplies for the beneficiaries to start with their business immediately.
Asingan Mayor Chua told the beneficiaries to take care of their food carts as source of livelihood.
“Nobody will be liabled if this program will not succeed but you, the beneficiaries, because the ASHAS Enterprise, the MSWD, and the LGU are very supportive of the program. So you have to take good care of it and make this initial business grow” Chua said.
