LGU Asingan supports President Duterte for a smoke-free Philippines, smoking ban takes effect July 23
The Executive Order will prohibit smoking in public places. Designated smoking areas have strict implementation requirements for establishing indoor and outdoor smoking areas in which an open space or a separate area is allowed. Meanwhile, smoking is not allowed in schools, hotels, recreational facilities for minors, elevators and stairwells, location in which fire hazards are present, within the public and private hospitals, clinic, health centers, nursing homes, dental clinics and laboratories.
Mayor Heidee Chua said No one should be forced to inhale second-hand smoke. No one should be allowed to recklessly put another person’s life in danger.
