Twenty-one barangays were awarded the Retention of Drug-Cleared Status under the Regional Oversight Committee for the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (Resolution No. VDC-ROI-2025-0118), with certificates of commendation given to those who contributed to this achievement.
Officials from the PDEA, DILG, PNP, DOH, and other support agencies led the awarding, praising the barangays for their continued efforts in maintaining a drug-free community. Also present at the event were Vice Mayor Heidee Chua and the Sangguniang Bayan members, showing support for the barangays’ accomplishments.
In his message, Mayor Lopez Jr. said: “We have achieved success, but it is a great challenge to maintain our municipality and your barangays as drug-free. Let us work together once again, helping one another, so that we can continue to succeed in the fight against illegal drugs.”
Retention of Drug-Cleared Status is important as it reflects a municipality’s commitment to public safety, good governance, and active community participation, while opening opportunities for additional support and development programs.
