MAYOR LOPEZ JR. INVITES OSY, 4Ps BENEFICIARIES, AND SOLO PARENTS TO JOIN TESDA ASINGAN FREE SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAMS
Asingan, Pangasinan — Residents of Asingan now have an opportunity to gain technical skills as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), through TESDA LMMSAT, rolls out its free training programs in partnership with the Office of the Mayor.
The initiative invites applicants to the upcoming Community-Based Training Programs (CBTP), which aim to boost employment by equipping participants with practical and industry-relevant skills.
Available Courses:
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I Open to Out-of-School Youth (OSY) • 25 available slots • 10-day training duration
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II Open to 4Ps beneficiaries, Out-of-School Youth (OSY), and Solo Parents • 25 available slots • 10-day training duration
TESDA LMMSAT emphasized that both training and assessment will be provided free of charge. Although no training allowance will be given, participants will gain skills that can lead to long-term employment and sustainable income.
TESDA LMMSAT is also calling on local government units, barangay officials, and partner organizations to support the initiative by helping identify qualified beneficiaries and providing training venues and other resources.
Interested applicants may coordinate with the Mayor’s Office for application details.
Meanwhile, Asingan Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr. expressed his support for the initiative, saying the program encourages residents—especially the youth and those seeking better opportunities—to take advantage of skills training that can help build a more self-reliant and progressive community.
TESDA expressed confidence that the program will help strengthen the local workforce and improve livelihood opportunities.
