Celebrate culture, heritage, and community spirit at the Kankanen Festival 2026 in Asingan!

This year’s highlight is the grand showcase of 550 bilao of kankanen (native rice cakes) representing Asingan’s agricultural roots and culinary traditions. Expect favorites like biko, suman, palitaw, tupig, puto, and bitso-bitso.

Residents from all barangays, schools, and community groups will contribute trays of kankanen, reflecting unity, cultural pride, and the bayanihan spirit.

Families and friends are invited to join the festivities from April 20–26, 2026, and experience the joy of food, tradition, and togetherness.
