The Municipal Government of Asingan has officially adopted a four-day compressed workweek following the issuance of Executive Order No. 011, Series of 2026, by Municipal Mayor Engr. Carlos F. Lopez, Jr.

Under the new policy, government offices will operate from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while Fridays will generally be a non-working day.

Frontline offices such as the Municipal Treasury Office, Business One-Stop Shop, and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office will maintain a skeleton workforce every Friday to ensure uninterrupted public service.

Essential facilities, including the Rural Health Unit, Public Market, MDRRMO, Municipal Cemetery, and Public Order and Safety Group, will continue their regular operations.

The order also requires municipal offices to implement energy conservation practices such as maintaining air-conditioning settings at 24°C, turning off unused electrical equipment, and maximizing natural lighting.

The initiative supports the national government’s effort to promote energy efficiency and reduce operational costs in government offices.
