54 women from Asingan gathered at the Municipal Auditorium for a hands‑on baking training in celebration of National Women’s Month. The event, titled “Oven of Opportunities: Women’s Bread and Pastry Making,” was led by TESDA Asingan in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Asingan.

Participants came from various local organizations and programs, including 4Ps, KALIPI, civil society organizations, and municipal employees. The training covered practical steps in bread and pastry production: measuring and sifting flour, cracking eggs, kneading dough, shaping dinner rolls, pandesal, and ensaymada, and preparing caramel mixtures and oatmeal cookies.

Teamwork, laughter, and pride marked the day as participants shared tips and baked their creations together. Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr. attended the activity and delivered an inspirational message encouraging women to pursue new skills and opportunities. The initiative was supported and led by Vice Mayor Heidee Chua and the Asingan Local Council of Women to empower women through practical skills and community programs.

TESDA and the LGU emphasized that the training aims to equip participants with marketable skills that can improve livelihoods and foster self‑reliance within the community.
